Optimize Mobility Series
A 6-week class for Dematic employees to increase performance and decrease injury in the gym and day-to-day life! Educate the mind and body to restore mobility for basic functional movement patterns and proper posture. NOT a "stretching" or "yoga" class! The goal is personalized recognition and isolation of weak/tight areas, while building a strategy to correct.

Dates: 6 Tuesdays, beginning November 7 through December 19th (attendance not required every week- make it when you can!)
2 class times: 11:30am-12:15pm, 12:15-1pm
Who: Employees who want to restore functional mobility to decrease injury, increase performance in the gym or every day life.
Format: These classes will involve range of motion. Don't count on working up a sweat, but come dressed for exercise (exception may be week 1)
Location: Group Fitness Studio

Week 1 (Nov. 7): Posture strategies. We will look to correct sitting, introduce bracing, and organize the spine for optimal movement and good posture. More to it than you think!
Week 2 (Nov.14): Mobility and strength for DEADLIFTS (hip hinge). EVERYONE needs to know how to hinge through the hip properly! Yes, you too!
Week 3 (Nov 21): Mobility and strength for the SQUAT. EVERYONE needs to know how to squat properly! Yes, you too!
Week 4 (Dec 5): Mobility and strength for upper body pressing/pulling. EVERYONE needs proper range through the trunk to do, well, most EVERYTHING!
Week 5 (Dec 12): Review. Putting it all together.
Week 6 (Dec 19): More Review. More putting it all together.
